The task
Update the homepage, catalog, cart and account of a store with a 15,000+ product catalog and years of SEO history — without stopping sales or losing rankings.
What I did
- Redesigned homepage and main catalog sections (design with a designer, markup and integration by me)
- Rebuilt the user account: orders, delivery tracking, saved data for repeat purchases
- Simplified cart and checkout
- Built an AI support chat (Next.js + Node.js + PostgreSQL + OpenAI API): product suggestions, order status, FAQ
- Incremental rollout to a live store with real traffic — zero downtime, no SEO loss
Result
Updated homepage, catalog, cart and account are live in production. The AI chat took over routine support requests. The client keeps returning with new work since 2024.
